Tom lives in Franklin with his wife Jackie. He has a 21-year old daughter (Jaime) in college and 19-year old son (Matt) in the U.S. Navy. He has been in high-tech sales and marketing for the past 30 years and has spent 8 years in the U.S. Marine Corps/Marine Corps Reserve.
He has been doing CrossFit for 5 years, and has been coaching CF Striking at CrossFit Medfield for the past 3 years. He enjoys watching people of all skills and ages learn new and improve upon skills while having fun and staying healthy. Tom puts his fitness to use by enjoying many outdoor activities, but his favorite is skiing.
Tom started boxing when he was in college at Lowell University (now UMASS Lowell). He boxed at a local gym in pretty rough section of town and used to walk through the projects after classes to go work out. The gym manager was a guy named Ouchie McManus (looked just like Burgess Meredith in Rocky – no lie). Tom fought there at the same time Micky Ward was getting ready to turn pro. His claim to fame is that Mickey hit him so hard while sparring he could barely crawl out of the ring. The highlight of his boxing career was fighting in the Golden Gloves in the Lowell Auditorium. Walking out into the arena, having your name announced and boxing in front of a huge crowd – It was an experience like no other.
