This class focuses on basic levels body movement mechanics: pushing, pulling and static holds. This focus benefits the beginner and advanced athlete. This class will also serve to gear up the advanced athlete to be ready for freestanding handstand push-ups, muscle-ups, and front/back lever holds.
The program starts with an emphasis on building strength in the most fundamental positions of each movement progression to alleviate holes between strength and technique. When athletes are ready to go from a push-up, to handstand push-up, to free standing handstand push-up, they will have the tools to safely and efficiently progress in accomplishing these tasks.
To keep things fun, the class will also work on movements not generally seen in CrossFit workouts, such as tumbling and balancing. Ultimately, the goal is to help athletes safely and effectively progress and develop their body movement mechanics so they can not only achieve their fitness goals within the gym, but enhance their life outside the gym.

Gymnastics Class is FREE for Reebok CrossFit Medfield members. Non-members pay a $20 drop-in fee per class.
